Description
This cozy 1 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath, 1 dedicated office home is located in The Mexican War Streets of Pittsburgh's Northside. It is fully furnished with new stainless steel appliances, washer, dryer, central AC, a Ring security system and a smart TV. The first floor is filled with light and has has an open floor plan that captures great flow from room to room. French doors at the back of the kitchen look out into a spacious private yard and convenient off street parking.
The house is in a historic neighborhood called the Mexican War Streets in Pittsburgh's Northside. Made up mostly of 19th century brick row houses mixed in with some newly built & renovated homes. Commonplace Cafe is a coffee shop on the same street as the home within 5 min. walking distance. Adda Cafe is located on Western Ave. ( a 5 min drive/ 15 minute walk) Nicky's Thai, Lola's Bistro and Bier's Pub are some recommended restaurants there. It's a 15 min walk to the downtown area (PNC Park, Heinz Field) Federal Galley is a nearby Food Hall that was built and gained popularity over the last couple years. Additionally, The Children's Museum, The National Aviary & The Andy Warhol Musueum are all within a 15 minute walking distance. Giant Eagle grocery store is about a 10 minute drive. Mayfly Market is a tiny little grocery store / deli if you need to pick up any essentials last minute or want to splurge on some locally made sorbet. Overall, while the Northside has definitely been gentrified it still has an urban city, eclectic, hip feel which is why people live there.View More

Felt like the perfect blend of a comfy home and luxury hotel room. Neighborhood felt safe enough and was in walking distance of plenty of cute activities like Randyland, Monterrey Pub, Commonplace Coffee, Huszar, Columbina Coffee, The Mattress Factory, etc. There was lots of natural light and a lovely office space and the bed was super comfortable. Been to Pittsburgh a million times but I’ve never explored Mexican War Streets/Northside before so this stay was a great introduction to it. Also you can book directly on Host Wise stays! Didn’t know that was an option but they offer a slight discount so I would recommend going that route! Kathryn

Great place and host, made our stay easy! Very happy with this place and location. It was perfect for my wife and I in order to visit our son in Allison Park (near Pittsburgh). We also got to do several things that my wife has wanted to do in the area like the Inclines, sample local foods and go see attractions in OH since it is fairly close. My wife absolutely loved the neighborhood and area around the location and the house was perfect for the two of us. Loved the fact that we basically had our own parking in an area where parking is a premium. Would absolutely go back if they would have us. Highly recommend these hosts and location. As a top 5% Google reviewer, I know a little about reviews and providing honest and straightforward feedback. 😉 very nice place and it was such a easy check in and out process! highly recommended this place!
