The North Side is an old neighborhood full of Pittsburgh history, and now it's one of the fastest growing areas in the 'Burgh. With the revitalization of the North Shore, the whole area is quickly developing into a lively urban hub of activity. Friendly old locals, new hipsters, starving artists, young professionals, and more are now calling the diverse North Side home. The location is excellent, with lots of activities in a short walk - you're less than a mile walk from PNC Park and Heinz Field, with all of the bars & restaurants you could want in between. There are parks, museums, the National Aviary, breweries, and more, all with easy access to downtown.
You can easily walk to most places, including downtown. If you're venturing to other areas of Pittsburgh, Uber / Lyft is super easy and affordable. Parking for one vehicle is on street (guest permit provided).
The North Side is a very diverse area. While it's safe, we have some unhoused in the area as well as drug users. They are not confrontational and don't bother anyone. However, people not used to / uncomfortable with this type of environment should consider other areas.View More

Beautiful apartment and very proactive host. Stayed for 3 nights. Spent the first night walking to a local restaurant, otherwise anywhere else we drove there was always parking available on the map Julie provided. Excellent guide provided by host. Will stay with Julie again the next time I'm in town! Julie’s place was awesome! Super responsive during check in and the place looked just like the photos! Our stay in Pittsburgh was exceptional. Julie was an excellent host, demonstrating prompt response times and accommodating our early check-in request. The accommodations were great , clean, and reasonably priced.<br/>While we were fortunate enough to walk to the stadium, but the location is not ideal. There are limited activities within walking distance. Consequently, we opted to use Uber instead of walking. Unfortunately, there were several homeless individuals outside peddling and lying on the ground.<br/>Overall, the accommodations were good, but if attending a sporting event, I recommend staying closer to the stadium. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The place was just as pictured and a short uber ride to everything we wanted to see in the city. Hosts were super responsive and even though the unit was close to busier parts of the city, it was super quiet and peaceful. We would love to stay here again next time we find ourselves in Pittsburgh!
