The house is in a historic neighborhood called the Mexican War Streets in Pittsburgh's Northside. Made up mostly of 19th century brick row houses mixed in with some newly built & renovated homes. Commonplace Cafe is a coffee shop on the same street as the home within 5 min. walking distance. Adda Cafe is located on Western Ave. ( a 5 min drive/ 15 minute walk) Nicky's Thai, Lola's Bistro and Bier's Pub are some recommended restaurants there. It's a 15 min walk to the downtown area (PNC Park, Heinz Field) Federal Galley is a nearby Food Hall that was built and gained popularity over the last couple years. Additionally, The Children's Museum, The National Aviary & The Andy Warhol Museum are all within a 15 minute walking distance. Giant Eagle grocery store is about a 10 minute drive. Mayfly Market is a tiny little grocery store / deli if you need to pick up any essentials last minute or want to splurge on some locally made sorbet. Overall, while the Northside has definitely been gentrified it still has an urban city, eclectic, hip feel which is why people live there.
Uber / Lyft are your best bet! Pittsburgh is one of the hardest cities in the country to drive in, due to the topography. But if you do bring a car, we have off-street parking for you!View More

Very happy with this place and location. It was perfect for my wife and I in order to visit our son in Allison Park (near Pittsburgh). We also got to do several things that my wife has wanted to do in the area like the Inclines, sample local foods and go see attractions in OH since it is fairly close. My wife absolutely loved the neighborhood and area around the location and the house was perfect for the two of us. Loved the fact that we basically had our own parking in an area where parking is a premium. Would absolutely go back if they would have us. Highly recommend these hosts and location. As a top 5% Google reviewer, I know a little about reviews and providing honest and straightforward feedback. 😉 very nice place and it was such a easy check in and out process! highly recommended this place! From the moment I checked in until my departure, this place exceeded all my expectations. It was just as charming as described and conveniently located within walking distance of numerous attractions, making it ideal for my week-long training in the city. The house was fully equipped with everything I needed, and I felt genuinely welcomed during my stay. The atmosphere was incredibly tranquil, and I particularly enjoyed the kitchen. While I dined out a few nights at nearby restaurants, I appreciated the option to prepare my own meals. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring I slept soundly each night, and the clawfoot tub provided a delightful way to relax after a busy day. Choosing this place for a stay in Pittsburgh is a decision you won't regret! We absolutely loved our stay here and the hosts were incredibly easy to communicate with! The house is super cute and in such a fun & safe neighborhood. Definitely recommend!
