Pittsburgh's Mexican War Streets are a historic home buff's dream! Originally called Buena Vista, the streets in the area were named after various Mexican War people & places, and most of the homes in the area are from the 1800s!
Mattress Factory Museum, Randyland, great coffee shops, restaurants, and a handful of bars call the War Streets home. Plus, you're an easy walk to North Shore attractions like PNC Park, Acrisure Stadium (let's be real, it'll always be Heinz Field), and all of the bars & restaurants of the North Shore. A super safe & family friendly area, it feels more like a NYC or Boston neighborhood than Pittsburgh - it's one of the most desirable areas of Pittsburgh to live.
We recommend using Uber or Lyft to navigate in Pittsburgh. It's a notoriously difficult city to drive in (but we have little traffic!) They're affordable and abundant. Public transportation is an option, and Pittsburgh is surprisingly bikeable as well!

We had an extended stay while we waiting to close on our new home and it couldn’t have been more comfortable! It was clean, safe, and had tons of amenities to make us feel right at home.Show more We enjoyed our extended stay here in Pittsburgh! The apartment was roomy but cozy and the hosts were super responsive and helpful during our long stay. The place had everything you could need! The neighborhood was friendly, walkable and a short drive to downtown. We had no trouble finding street parking either!Show more
