Pittsburgh's Mexican War Streets are a historic home buff's dream! Originally called Buena Vista, the streets in the area were named after various Mexican War people & places, and most of the homes in the area are from the 1800s!
Mattress Factory Museum, Randyland, great coffee shops, restaurants, and a handful of bars call the War Streets home. Plus, you're an easy walk to North Shore attractions like PNC Park, Heinz Field (let's be real, it'll always be Heinz Field), and all of the bars & restaurants of the North Shore. A super safe & family friendly area, it feels more like a NYC or Boston neighborhood than Pittsburgh - you'll love it!
We recommend using Uber or Lyft to navigate in Pittsburgh. It's a notoriously difficult city to drive in (but we have little traffic!) They're affordable and abundant. If you do choose to drive in the city, we have garage parking for one large or two medium size vehicles in our private garage.View More

I grew up at in this area and was married at the church around the corner. Thank you for a lovley house that brought back memories in a safe place to share with Steeler nation friends. The Mexican War streets location was spectacular and had an amazing host. Neighbors said hello as we walked by and we had such a nice experience at the Monterey Pub around the corner. The house, garden and garage were amazing! Every detail, kitchen, family room, coffee was so delightful. A short walk to the stadium and the north shore! Stay here and walk the streets of Steeler legends like Franco Harris and Troy Polamalu that visited my church for services and Greek festivals. Walking distance to the Andy Warhol museum, The Matress factory and Randyland and the BreadWorks. Stay on Palo Alto Street at this historic house and you will be transported back in time in this renovated beautiful home. We would stay here again in a heartbeet.Show more Joshua

This is the second time we have stayed here at Chad’s place. Just as it was our first time, it’s an incredible spot really in the heart of the action in Pittsburgh. The location is very walkable to a lot of great activities, especially if you have little ones. I highly recommend Chad’s place and will most likely stay here again in the future for any Pittsburgh visits.Show more
